pboard

Pboard is a chess board interface, used especially to train (memorize) openings, and manage your repertoire.

Target Audiance

Chess players who wish to build their opening repertoire and have computer help to memorize the variations.

Features (as of 03 August 2006)

• Add and remove variations
• Training mode (shows the position, and you have to enter the correct reply. TIP: to use it: click on "Training Mode" to enter it, and "Random Var" to get a new variation on board.
• Save to .xml or to internal ruby representation (Marshal)
• Edit move evaluations (=, +-) and signs (?, !)

Downloading and Running

As it is a pre-alpha quality software, you have to download it from Subversion, from our Sourceforge project page: https://sourceforge.net/projects/pboard

To run it you need a recent version of Ruby and of the Ruby-Gnome2 bindings
